I was just reading about the design philosophy of the architecture of the National Museum of the American Indian. Very interesting.

Oh, this doesn’t look good at all.

America seems to be starting to lean toward The Shrub, possibly because of Kerry’s total lack of personality. He should do something drastic to grab some attention. Maybe he could try to appear to be real, i.e., less polished and shiny, less political.

Meanwhile, we, as Americans are at our height of hypocrisy.

We invade “oppressive regimes” that have oil and leave countries like Sudan to sort out their own genocide.

I want to stop looking at the news, but it is like a train wreck. You can’t look and you can’t look away.

Where are we going to stop?

And what is going to happen with 4 more years with no accountability?

Surf in Mexico

Wednesday, September 8th, 2004

Last weekend I went to Mexico, with Chris and Mike.

The surf was terrific.

Indeed, the very best that I have seen in California.

When we first paddled out in the morning it was pushing double overhead and top to bottom barrels at La Fonda.

It settled down to a few feet overhead after breakfast and was a lot of fun.

The sun was shining, the water was crystal clear, there were dolphins and fish swimming about and, finally, perfect surf.
