I just got back from Lisbon and the European Open BJJ Championships.
Well… let’s just say, it was nice to go to Portugal…
I won one fight, and lost one fight.
That, in and of itself, isn’t too bad.
But I made a really dumb mistake.
I am going to chalk this one up as an experience and hopefully do better next time.
It seems like a big part of my brain shuts off when the match starts and I do really silly things. I’m going to concentrate on keeping myself relaxed and I should do better. I really wanted to do well, more than the other competitions, so naturally I messed up.
However, it was good to hang out with people from the gym, and Susi and I both had fun.
Winning isn’t everything.
(Winners never say that though…)
