I don’t <3 “Valentime’s Day”. I don’t want to sound like a curmudgeon, but this is the worst holiday ever. There is no day off of work, you are supposed to buy crap, and you can do the shopping at a gas station on your way home from work.

Also, one of my friends pointed out that it really discriminates against single people. With all the divisive issues in the world, do we really need to promote unfair holidays?
Or perhaps it discriminates against people in couples; they are, after all, the ones who “have” to buy said silly gifts.

Good point. Especially when you saw the enormous line of people at florist at the Hammersmith Tube Station. But I have seen a lot of single friends with some pretty hangdog looks on their faces. I guess the case could be made for Valentine’s being a type of Relationship Tax!
