We are experiencing some delay in getting our visas. If anyone knows any way to push the process along, there are prizes. This is a little bit of stress that we were hoping to avoid. We already have our plane tickets and are packing, it would be rotten to have to wait longer to go.
Meanwhile, I slowly limp to a steamy office.
Do they not have fast track visas? I remember when I was doing the rounds before the big trip in 2004, most of the embassies (consulates?) had a fast track option if you paid more cash.
Although presumably its too late for that if you’ve already applied.

I’m not sure about fast tracking anything,. But that is a good suggestion, and we will certainly look into it. I know if I were working at the visa office and someone brought me a pizza that I would speed their application along. But it isn’t looking too good.
Antoher Brazil update: it has been essentially confirmed that most likely we will NOT be getting on our flight next Friday.
