William Koplitz

Solutions architect — cloud infrastructure & agentic AI systems

McLean, Virginia · Washington, DC area

I'm a solutions architect who codes — twenty-five years of building on, migrating to, and automating the big clouds. I've worked the vendor side twice at AWS (Graviton specialist, then greenfield ISVs) and once at Google (partner engineering), and spent six years before that running my own cloud consultancy.

These days I'm founder and technical lead at Agentic Ensemble, building Taeoe — a multi-tenant platform for orchestrating agentic AI systems: plan graphs, persona routing, and provider-agnostic model access on AWS Bedrock.

I like to do interesting stuff with fun and smart people.

Talks

“Overcoming migration hurdles with CircleCI and AWS Graviton” (PRT224) — the capstone of my year as AWS's Graviton specialist for ISVs. A partner session with CircleCI and Honeycomb on the real-world obstacles of moving production workloads to ARM, and the CI/CD automation that clears them; William Koplitz presents the Graviton side. 33 min · watch on YouTube · companion code: circleci-multiarch-demo, circleci-ecr-basic

A handful of other AWS Twitch appearances from the Graviton year expired with the platform's retention window; this list grows as receipts resurface.

Previously

Earlier: two more decades of mobile, big data, and defense-adjacent cloud — CTO, cloud architect, and engineer roles from Booz Allen to a J2ME startup shipping to developing markets.

Writing & elsewhere

I write at billykoplitz.com — engineering sometimes, and the rest of a life: Zen practice, slacklines, being probably wrong. Code lives under the alias bil9000 on GitHub and GitLab.

Working languages: English and Portuguese, professionally; Spanish and some French, gamely.
